i've heard many things about this show and ive seen the characters, but have never really gotten into it.
So i ask you, the people of Newgrounds, if i should watch this supposed masterpiece of an anime?
i believe in your answers... maybe.

My word of advice is watch it in English Dub version you will get a kick out of it trust me.
It aint no masterpiece. But its got a unique and fun artstyle, as far as anime artstyles go. And while I find a lot of comedy animes hard to laugh with, (most of the jokes in those, are often screamed out while the characters are explaining the obvious gags that are going on. But P&S mannages to be a little funny here and there in my opinion. The action overall is pretty solid.
Go ahead. I rewatched it 10yrs later and it doesn't hit the same way now that like every anime is 300% horny all the time but the art style is still sick
It's kind of unfunny for most of the jokes it tries. I just watched because it looked way different than anything else, but I couldn't sit through all the way to the end. You can just watch one episode and you'll get the gist of the whole series. It's certainly not life changing.
If you don't mind the crass humor and jank storytelling, (even by the low standards of 2000's era Gainax) then P&S is fine.

Yes. It’s one of the most vulgar and crass shows I’ve seen from Japan and it’s beautiful.

but you have to dance the miku miku dance for half a minute after each episode (do that in the end and you'll soon have it over with)
